“We recently got married at the old vicarage boutique hotel in Southwell, and wanted a local photographer. I had been recommended a few photographers but wasn’t sure about their style. My venue recommended Melissa and we are whole heartedly thankful that we made the decision to go with her! From the moment I saw her past work through to when I met Melissa her talent and enthusiasm blew me away. You never really know what your photos are going to come out like, you hope for a few that you love..well, we can honestly say we love every single one. The emotion, fun and excitement is captured on everyone’s faces without standing for hours posing, allowing us and guests to fully enjoy the day in a relaxed natural way. I honestly cannot recommend her enough. Thank you again Melissa, you have made us so so happy. Cat and Adam xxx”

I first met Cat in the pub for a drink at Canning Circus – just up the road from the QMC where she works. After chatting away for a few minutes I knew I would love her wedding – she was looking for a fun, chilled out day and neither her or Adam wanted lots of posed photos. Cat and Adam had chosen The Old Vicarage in Southwell to hold their reception after getting married at the nearby St Michael And Angels Church in her her home town in Farnsfield. I love the Old Vicarage as a venue- as a luxury boutique hotel it has such and intimate and cozy feeling which is perfect. I spent the morning with Cat and her pals and mum in her beautiful countryside home near Farnsfield before making the short journey to the Church. After a beautiful service, Cat and Adam spent the rest of the day having a great time celebrating with all their friends and family which I was able to capture. Thanks so much Cat & Adam for choosing me to photograph your day – loved it! x x x
