PHEASANTRY BREWERY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Dinosaurs, Dr Who, and Barry from Eastenders – Vicky and Owen’s wedding at the Pheasantry Brewery had it all going on! Even though it tipped it down for most of the day, you can see from the pics what a fab time everybody had – and all that rain ended up giving us an incredible sunset.

I was recommended to Vicky and Owen by Danielle at Pheasantry (thanks, Danielle!). They wanted something fun and natural, which I think sums them up as a couple. Arriving at their house in the morning was fun from the get-go; Vicky, her mum and sisters were so easy to be around, and it felt like I was hanging out with old friends. Vicky’s precious ‘bride purse’ sitting right next to an IQ test for cats said it all – I couldn’t stop laughing! Her mum told me that they’d organised a VW camper to pick her up as a surprise, so it was great to see Vicky’s reaction when it pulled up.

Arriving at the venue, I was able to grab a couple of nice, natural photos with Owen and his friends before Vicky made her entrance. Rhys – who’s also a fab photographer – came along to help me out on the day, and he was able to get some great images of Vicky’s sisters while I hung out with the lads.

The ceremony was really lovely. Pheasantry is a great venue, whether the ceremony’s in or outdoors. Vicky and Owen choose to have an indoor cinema which felt really intimate and romantic.

After the ceremony, I always encourage my couples to spend time straight away with their family and friends. I love these moments when the couple gets to celebrate with their guests, and all the hugging starts. I got some epic confetti shots, and the wedding breakfast room was beautifully decorated too – the little dinosaurs seemed to be in their natural habitat, in amongst all the plants and greenery!

FUN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT PHEASANTRY BREWERY, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

The speeches were great. Owen’s best men pulled out all the stops, organising video cameos from Dr Who and Shaun Williamson (aka Barry from Eastenders). After that, everyone got stuck into some very yummy wood-fired pizzas. The rain had finally stopped, and the sky was turning into some truly amazing colours, lighting up the grounds beautifully – so we made the most of it and grabbed some beautiful portraits of the happy couple.

In the evening, Owen’s cousin’s band got everyone into the party spirit, allowing me and Rhys to get some great photographs of everyone dancing into the night.

Vicky and Owen – thank you for choosing me to be your photographer. I loved hanging out with you both, and I’m sure you’ll have lots more great adventures ahead x

The Pheasantry Brewery:

Pheasantry is an absolutely beautiful venue in Nottinghamshire. It’s a collection of farm buildings in East Markham that have been lovingly converted into a micro-brewery – a fun and really unique place to hold your wedding! You’ll get the perfect mix of sprawling farmland, big blue skies, and lots of cool fixtures and bare brickwork – and as you can see from the pictures, that’s a great combination! Pheasantry can accommodate up to 120 guests for a delicious wedding breakfast, and 200 in the evening… surrounded by gorgeous countryside.

Pheasantry has quickly become one of Nottinghamshire’s go-to spots for weddings and civil ceremonies. It’s not only stunningly pretty, but also really convenient – despite being in the middle of the countryside it’s easily reached by car, there are lovely places to stay overnight on-site, and you’re in the safe hands of a friendly, really experienced team. Pheasantry provides literally everything you could want, from coordinators and caterers to DJs and MCs. The team offers a bespoke service for the exact kind of wedding you want, and no request is too big for them. Whatever you’re looking for – whether it’s fireworks, guest ales or even a tipi – you only need to ask!

I love shooting here, and I can’t recommend this venue enough.
