You know it’s going to be a good day when you walk into a church, and Elvis Costello’s playing!

It’s always fun working with couples who like to do things a bit differently. Guy and Andy were a case in point – two wonderful people, whose love of music and rugby set the tone for a funny, sweet and colourful wedding.

We started with the bridal prep at Andy’s beautiful home, in Whitchurch. Meanwhile, Guy and the groom’s party steadied themselves with a few drinks at the Black Bear. Andy’s girls were all so funny, and really helped to put her at ease – not that such a fun-loving lady needs any encouragement!

When the couple joined hands at St John‘s church, they looked fantastic – Andy in her stunning dress, and Guy resplendent in a handsome blue suit. After the service, we made our way to Whitchurch Rugby Club, for the reception. After years of representing his local team, the club is like a second home for Guy – there were lot of memories and stories being swapped, and plenty of laughs as the drink began to flow.

After some touching (and teary!) speeches, the happy couple went for a wander in the lush green fields overlooking the town. As the sun set over this pretty corner of Shropshire, we were blessed with some gorgeous lighting – a fitting backdrop to a couple who are completely besotted with each other.

The day ended up with drinking and dancing, as Guy commandeered the PA – we were then treated to a tour of the Britpop classics, and danced long into the night. Great people – great day!
