COCKLIFFE COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Gregg and Rachael knew exactly what they wanted from their big day — nature, tranquillity, elegance, and lots of character. Cockliffe Country House Hotel delivered on every front… and it will for you, too! Their wedding day at Cockliffe Country House was full of sunshine and smiles as you can see from the photographs. I love how much fun you can clearly see they are having all day. Thanks to Gregg and Rachael for the wonderful google review
“Melissa was our wedding photographer at Cockliffe Country House in September. She absolutely deserves a 5 star review. She was so easy and fun to work with. She put us at ease and was able to get lots of natural shots. She made our guests laugh and has provided us with plenty of wonderful photos of the day. She is not only really easy to get on with but she is very professional and talented. She got pictures to us quickly and was always quick with her replies and advice. I can’t recommend her enough! Thank you.”
Cockliffe House is one of Nottingham’s oldest and most beautiful wedding venues, dating all the way back to 1678. Refurbished in 2015, it’s a Grade II-listed hunting lodge that’s hosted guests like Winston Churchill and King Edward VIII. Celebrate your wedding here, and you’ll feel the history all around you!
COCKLIFFE COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL WEDDING VENUE
One of the best things about Nottingham is that you don’t have to travel very far in any direction until you’re out in the middle of the countryside. Flanked by beautiful villages like Papplewick and Ravenshead, Cockliffe House might only be 15 minutes north of Notts, but it’s another world — blue skies, green grass, and a handsome stone building full of high ceilings and cosy corners. Every detail at Cockliffe has been designed to give happy couples that perfect blend of old-school charm and modern convenience.
The venue is licenced for civil ceremonies, with capacity for 80 guests during the day, and 120 in the evening. Importantly, you’ll have exclusive access to Cockliffe, with no day-trippers wandering around in the background of your photos. The House is full of different rooms and spaces, each one with its own sense of style and character — from the stunning Elliott Suite to the elegant Churchill Room. Plus, the beautifully landscaped grounds will be the perfect backdrop to your wedding pictures. Just check out Gregg and Rachael’s blog gallery for proof of that!

Cockliffe isn’t just a beautiful stage for your wedding, but a stunning place for your guests to stay. As part of your wedding booking, you’ll be offered access to their 11 boutique bedrooms, stuffed full of original features and little luxuries. There’s loads of on-site parking, and unlike a lot of wedding venues, it’s also dog-friendly!
